We offer no cost phone equipment and alerting devices so that everyone can get the most out of life. And we make it easy to get the product that's right for you. Here's how it works.

Who We Serve

We serve South Carolina residents who have trouble using the phone, including people who are:

  • Hard of Hearing
  • Deaf
  • Deaf-Blind
  • Blind/Low Vision with Hearing Loss
  • Speech Challenged

Eligibility Checklist

Your income is not a factor. We do ask that you meet these basic requirements:

  • You are a legal, permanent resident of South Carolina.
  • You have active phone service.
  • Your permanent communication challenge can be confirmed by a professional.

As an eligible resident, you can use our equipment for as long as you need it.

Professional Certifiers

To confirm your communication challenge, you can get a signature from any one of these professional certifiers:

  • Audiologist
  • Physician
  • Physician’s Assistant
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Hearing Aid Specialist

Need help finding a certifier? Try searching our Provider Network.

Why No Cost Products?

Our products are absolutely no cost, thanks to a small surcharge on all in-state phone lines. If you are a resident with a phone service, then you help pay for the program. So don't you deserve to benefit? If you're having trouble using the phone and have a qualifying disability, we encourage you to apply.
